Best Time To Book Holiday Flights Is Soon

It's still technically summer (80 degrees this weekend), but October is less than two weeks away and Thanksgiving is about two months out. It's time to think about making those holiday travel plans.

According to WIVB, AAA is saying that October is the best month to book holiday flights.

The absolute best time is September 25th to October 27th.

“Procrastinating travelers may be able to find last-minute deals on flights close to the holidays, as airlines look to fill their last few remaining seats, but flight availability for these peak travel weeks will be very limited by that time,” said Paula Twidale, vice president, AAA.

Prices for flights average around $500 if booked close to Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Also, believe it or not, AAA says Christmas Eve is the best day to travel, during the week of Christmas.
