The Buffalo Bills are in another "win or go home" game coming up on Saturday. Sadly, they won't be going in full strength. They could be limping in, quite a bit.

Injury designations come in earlier when the game is earlier

Normally, we get injury designations from the Bills on Friday afternoons. But that's when they're playing a game on Sunday. When the game is on a Saturday, the entire schedule gets moved up, so the injury designations came in today, and it's not looking great.

The Bills lost two wide receivers in the last game

One of the benefits of winning the #1 seed in the NFL playoffs is that you get a bye for wild card weekend. That is proving to have had major implications for the Bills. Last weekend, they took on a very tough Jacksonville Jaguars team and they paid the price. Not only did Josh Allen get banged up quite a bit (fingers, knee), but he lost both Gabe Davis and Tyrell Shavers to torn ACLs in the process too. Now, they're down to just 3 healthy wide receivers on their roster.

The Bills ruled two players out for Saturday and five others are questionable

On Thursday, Coach Sean McDermott ruled out both Maxwell Hairston (ankle) and Jordan Poyer (hamstring) for Saturday's game against the Broncos. So they will need some help in the secondary. He also said that five players were questionable.

  • Terrel Bernard
  • Ty Johnson
  • Ed Oliver
  • Damar Hamlin
  • Curtis Samuel

In the case of Ed Oliver, Damar Hamlin, and Curtis Samuel, it's good news that they're questionable. They're all coming off of IR and their 21 day window has opened. So them being questionable means that they might be able to come in and help. For Bernard and Johhnson, it's a little more troubling if they can't go. Johnson, in particular, was a big factor in the Bills win last year against the Broncos in the wild card round of the playoffs.

We will find out on Saturday if any of the questionable players are ready to go.
