According to the Bills, they have signed head coach Sean McDermott to a multi-year contract extension.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports it's a six-year contract extension, which ties McDermott to Buffalo through the 2025 season.

McDermott led the Bills to their first playoff appearance in 17 years in his first season as head coach in 2017.

After a short rebuilding year in 2018, the Bills returned to the playoffs with a 10-6 record under McDermott and led by Bills second-year quarterback Josh Allen.

From 2018-2019, the Bills defense has given up the fewest amount of total yards in the NFL, while allowing the 4th-fewest points in the league those two years.

It's clear that McDermott deserved this extension and the Bills are set up for many years of success under his coaching and their current roster. They've had a great defense under McDermott and they have the pieces on offense to make a serious playoff run.
