UPDATE: Man Successfully Rescued From The Water at Goat Island in Niagara Falls

A man was seen clinging to a log in the water in the Niagara River early this afternoon.  UPDATE:: They have successfully pulled him from the water.

The report came through just after lunch that a man was seen floating and clinging to a log.  Goat Island was closed to visitors as Niagara Falls Fire and Parks Police took to the water to save him.

No one knows how long he has been in the water.

At this point, the man is still stranded in the water, however, first responders are working hard to get him out.

The man was successfully pulled from the water just before 2pm.
