Remember that 17-year playoff drought that the Bills were going through? You know, the one from 2000-2017? Neither do I...or at least I don't think about it much these days.

The Buffalo Bills have made the playoffs three of the past four seasons and won the AFC East for the first time in 25 years in 2020. They also went 13-3 for the first time since the four-straight Super Bowl years in the early 90s.

Whereas, the New England Patriots went 7-9 in 2020 -- their first losing record since the 2000 season and wouldn't you know, they didn't have Tom Brady as their starting quarterback for the first time since that season 20 years ago (other than the year he was hurt in 2008).

Most people would probably predict the Bills will win the division again in 2021, despite the Patriots spending a massive amount of money on free agents and one Bills player agrees with those who think "The Patriot Way" was actually not a "way" at all -- it was just Tom Brady.

Bills left tackle Dion Dawkins was a guest on ESPN's Jalen & Jacoby show on Tuesday and had some strong words on the Patriots now that Brady is gone.

“Every year is extremely hard and our focus isn’t on the Patriots. It never is. Not to say it, but Tom Brady was the Patriots’ whole life and Tom Brady isn’t there; so we have a whole different Patriots team that we need to deal with," said Dawkins.

My favorite part of Dawkins quote was after though.

“As long as we handle us, we got it. The Patriots ain’t nothing for us to think about until that time comes up on the schedule. It’s Buffalo Bills era, manadded Dawkins. It’s Josh Allen, it’s Stefon Diggs, it’s Cole Beasley. Shoot. It’s Dion Dawkins, it’s Bobby Johnson, it’s Sean McDermott, it’s Brian Daboll. Buffalo, you know what I’m saying? It’s Bills Mafia! We ain’t worried about that.

The Bills time has indeed come, Dion.
