It's always special when someone local makes it big time and country music singer-songwriter Buffalo native Eric Van Houten is getting very close to getting airplay on country radio across the country.

According to Music Row Magazine, Eric signed a publishing deal with WinSongs Music, which is led by producer and songwriter Chris DeStefano.

You may not know DeStefano but you definitely know of his work. He's written many hit songs, such as "Good Girl" by Carrie Underwood, "Don't Ya" by Brett Eldredge and "From the Ground Up" by Dan + Shay.

“Eric is the hardest working guy I know. We are so excited to officially be working with him, and can not wait to work as hard for him as he works for us.” says Kirby Smith, Creative Director of WinSongs Music.

Eric has a new song coming out too! "Know About That" will be released digitally this Friday.

Eric opened our 2017 Taste of Country show after winning ToC Risers. He's well on his way to being the next big thing in country music.
