Buffalo Sabres fans deserve better than the product they're getting on the ice.  The Sabres lost again Thursday night, falling to the Tampa Bay Lightning 4-1.  That's their sixth straight loss overall and their sixth loss in seven games at home.

Cody Franson did the honors in scoring the Sabres lone goal.  That's his first goal of the season and the first by a defenseman.  In their seven home games the Sabres have managed only eight goals.

Injuries to key players have hurt the Sabres this season, but the players inserted in their place have fallen far short.  Many of them are high draft picks, but just aren't ready for the NHL and among the players in Buffalo's regular rotation they're looking lost and confused.  This season's edition of the Sabres is starting to look a lot like the tank team of two years ago.

The Sabres just can't buy a break either.  Many of their shots hit skates, pads, posts, the crossbar.

Sabres fans were so disgusted they were leaving in droves.  I can't remember the last time there were so few fans in the stands at the end of a game.

Same old story for the Sabres.  They have another tough team coming in on Saturday night when they host the defending Stanley Cup champion Pittsburgh Penguins.
