Because of the massive snowstorm that was pounding the southern half of the city and areas to the south and east of Buffalo thousands of fans weren't able to make it to First Niagara Center for Tuesday night's Sabres game against the San Jose Sharks.  But the fans that were able to make it were treated to an entertaining game and a 4-1Buffalo victory - their second straight win.

Nicholas Delauriers, Brian Gionta and Brian Flynn scored second period goals and the Sabres held on until Gionta scored his second of the night into an empty net.  Jonas Enroth stopped 19 of 20 shots, replacing Michael Neuvirth after the first period when Neuvirth left the game with a lower body injury.

It not only completes a two-game season sweep of the Sharks but it's their eighth straight win over San Jose.  All time in Buffalo the Sabres have won 16 of 17 games against the Sharks.

The Sabres host the Rangers on Friday night.
