Buffalo’s Unemployment Rate High In August

Many complain about their jobs.  I hate what I do.  I don't get paid enough!  This job is boring!  I say....just be happy you have a job.  I know I am.  I also know that there are a lot of people struggling right now, who don't have jobs.  As a matter of fact, the Buffalo Niagara region had an unemployment rate of 8.8% in the month of August.  That number is the highest rate for the month in more than 20 years!  According to the state Department of Labor, the number of people without jobs in the region has nearly doubled since 2007.
