A record 18 cautions made for a long night of racing at Darlington Raceway on Sunday night but it was Carl Edwards who pulled away from pole sitter Brad Keselowski on the final restart with eight laps left to win the Bojangles Southern 500.  It's Edwards' first win at NASCAR's oldest track, his second of the season and 25th of his career.

What makes Edwards' victory even more remarkable is that he rallied from two laps down early in the race to win it.  He stayed out on old tires when most of the field pitted, then when he came in for new rubber a caution flag for a crash put him down by two.  He spent the next 200 laps catching up.

Keselowski came in second, .902 seconds back.  Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano and Kevin Harvick completed the Top Five.

Kyle Busch finished seventh and that was good enough to clinch a spot in the Top 30 points standings and a berth in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

Just one race left before the Chase begins a week from next Sunday.  Next up on the schedule is a visit to Richmond International Raceway under the lights this Saturday.
