Kevin Harvick did on Sunday what he does so often at Phoenix International Raceway; he won.  Harvick led 139 laps including the last one as he and Carl Edwards bumped down the front stretch and Harvick emerged the winner by one one hundredth of a second at the finish line for the closest finish in the history of the series at the track.

Harvick's victory was his fifth in the last six races at Phoenix and sixth in the last eight races.  He becomes the fourth different winner in four Cup races so far this season.

Following Edwards, Denny Hamlin came in third with pole sitter Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. completing the Top Five.

Heat generated by brakes caused tire bead problems on the cars of Brad Keselowski, Ryan Newman, Paul Menard and Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.  The intense heat melted the tire beads causing tires to blow.  Keslowski was the only one of the four able to return to the race.

The series continues next week at Fontana, California.
