The upgrades are complete and the care continues at the area only Level 1 adult trauma center and they are spectacular.

I had the opportunity to be a guest and take a tour of the new emergency department at ECMC. Not only is it nearly 4 times larger than the previous "ED", it is bright and very comforting and those who need emergency care are in good hands.

Planning took years and what I find most intriguing is the way each aspect of care was involved. From imaging to nursing and the emergency room doctors, the new ED at ECMC was a great team effort.
