Another Checkers Location Opening in WNY

This area's third Checkers Drive-In Restaurant will be built in the Town of Tonawanda.  A former John & Mary's sub shop on Niagara Falls Boulbevard at Thistle will be converted into the chain's familiar Checkers design. 

The building has been vacant since John & Mary's closed several months ago. The site already has a drive-thru window.

Checkers has locations in 28 states and the District of Columbia with a menu that includes burgers, fries, chicken, fish, wings and ice cream.

The local owners have stores in Cheektowaga and Buffalo and plan two more for the area. They claim their two locations consistently rank among the top 10 percent of the chain's national average.
