If you're looking for a proper send-off to summer, join us at this weekend's Docs Vs. Jocks Country Cook-Off party, featuring Buffalo Sabres alumni and a performance from Eric Van Houten.

The event features an "Iron Chef" style competition, with a team lead by both docs and jocks: Alex Diaczenko of Black Iron Bystro joined by Marty Biron & Andrew Peters are ready to compete against Dr. Elad Levy and Dr. Douglas Moreland led by Bacchus Chef Brian Mietus to defend their title.

The event supports a great cause, the Program for Understanding Childhood Concussion and Stroke (PUCCS).

PUCCS mission is to provide the tools necessary to understand and prevent concussions as an injury in all sports.  They use funds, through donations, to help translate what research shows for those impacted by concussion injuries. PUCCS vision is about their educational outreach to help athletes, parents, and coaches understand the risk, identification and management of concussions and its importance in positive outcomes.

The event will be held at The Buffalo Grand Hotel, from 7-10 p.m. (check-in begins at 6:30 p.m.) Friday, September 6, 2019. The festivities will include food stations, open bar, silent auction, basket raffle, candy bar raffle (one “Golden Ticket” prize) and a special performance by country music artist Eric Van Houten. Individual tickets can be purchased at http://bidpal.net/dvj2019.

The auction items are great too -- you could bid to win a pair of autographed CMA exclusive Luke Combs Crocs.
