Did You See Damar Hamlin’s Necklace? [IMAGE]
Damar Hamlin may not have been on the field for the Buffalo Bills season opener against the New York Jets, but he was supporting from the sidelines.
During the game, you may have noticed key players talking with Damar Hamlin on the sidelines, including Stefon Diggs. Hamlin has always been a team player with a positive mental attitude, which became even more clear after he woke up following his injury on the field in January.
His first question upon waking up was, “Did we win?”
If that’s not team-oriented, I don’t know what is.

September 11 would have been Hamlin's first regular season game since his injury on Monday Night Football against the Bengals last season.
Hamlin had played in all three of the Bills pre-season games, and he is currently listed as the backup strong safety behind Jordan Poyer.
But the thing about Damar Hamlin is – he embraces every challenge he is given, so if he is asked to be that guy who raises morale on the sidelines, that is what he’s going to do.
And although the Bills didn’t get the win against the Jets, Damar Hamlin was on the sideline checking in with his fellow teammates.
One thing that may have caught your eye though…is what Damar was wearing around his neck.
It was a rosary.
It’s not something you see commonly worn, but wearing a rosary necklace is considered to be “proper expression and devotion,” according to The Catholic Church in the USA.
Over the last several months as Hamlin worked towards his full recovery, he has not been shy about thanking God for the gift of life.
“It’s GameDay & There’s Nothing I Want More Than To Be Running Out That Tunnel With My Brothers.. God Using Me In A Different Way Today! Tell Someone You Love Them Today!”
During a speech a few weeks after his injury, Hamlin said, “My vision was about playing in the NFL and being the best player I could be, but God’s plan was to have a purpose greater than any game in this world.”
Wearing the rosary around his neck is just another testament to his faith.
It is really nice to see Damar Hamlin wearing the #3 jersey again.
The Buffalo Bills will play again on Sunday, Sept. 17 at 1 PM against the Las Vegas Raiders at Highmark Stadium for their first home game of the year.
