The Buffalo Sabres are holding their last day of practice sessions at HarborCenter for their annual developmental camp.

If you're unfamiliar, developmental camp is when Sabres prospects come to practice with one another. A few might be on the team already (Peyton Krebs, Mattias Samuelsson, Owen Power), some may be in the AHL (Jack Quinn, JJ Peterka), while the rest are prospects in college hockey, junior hockey, or overseas.

The Sabres have two elite goaltending prospects with Devon Levi of Northeastern and Erik Portillo of Michigan.

Levi was acquired from the Florida Panthers in the Sam Reinhart trade last summer and is now regarded as one of the top, if not, the top goalie prospect in the NHL.

He was a late bloomer, as he was drafted in the 7th round of the 2020 NHL Draft but has dominated the CCHL, college hockey, and even the World Junior Championships for Team Canada.

He's only 6'0'' and 185 pounds but his athleticism and work ethic is why he's well on his way to an NHL starting job.

Levi made an incredible save in practice on Thursday morning that had fans in the building gasping.

I watched Levi in person on Thursday and there's a reason he has so much hype. I was very impressed by his side-to-side movements and positioning -- he's a very disciplined goaltender, which is critical for a goalie who isn't super big.

Hopefully, Levi will be signed next year. He has committed to playing another season for Northeastern.
