The Buffalo Sabres have been holding their development camp at HarborCenter in downtown Buffalo since Wednesday.

The camp, which hasn’t been held since 2019, allows the organization and fans a glimpse at all the prospects for the team. A couple play in the NHL (Peyton Krebs, Owen Power, Mattias Samulesson), while most play in Rochester or with their junior or college hockey team.

Multiple skaters impressed in Saturday morning’s French Connection Tournament, which was a 3-on-3 style game that allowed players to create offensively. Jack Quinn, Peyton Krebs and Jiri Kulich were notable players today,

The highlight of the morning, however, was goaltender Devon Levi.

Levi had to stop Quinn on a shootout attempt in the opening round game of the tournament and Levi made what is probably the best save we have seen by a Sabres goaltender in the last decade.

How in the world did he recover to stop Quinn?

Here are more angles/replays of the amazing save that had everyone at HarborCenter in awe.

My favorite reaction was Quinn who couldn’t believe he didn’t score. Levi plays on Team Hasek, who is coached by former Sabres captain, Michael Peca, and Peca couldn’t believe it either.

Levi has committed to play another season at Northeastern University, where he put up eye-popping numbers and is widely considered the best goalie prospect for the Sabres and one of the best in the NHL.

If you remember, he was part of the Sam Reinhart trade with the Florida Panthers last July. Levi was a 7th round pick in 2020 but as he said, he’s a late bloomer who is now a future NHL star.

It’s now a priority to sign him as soon as possible. The hype is real for Devon Levi.
