Dyngus Day is right around the corner, and Western New York is stepping up their celebrations from your head to your toes.

Other than pussy willows and squirt guns, there are some things that are just guaranteed at a Dyngus Day party. Of course, everyone will be wearing red, as they usually do, but you may want to prepare to wear something on your head, too.

Dyngus Day is a day full of celebration for heritage and culture, and two groups have already made hundreds of hats for the big day.

Those two groups are the Water Buffalo Club 716 and Stitch Buffalo, and this year, they have an all-new look for a Dyngus Day Polish hat.

Here’s a look at this year’s design.

The Water Buffalo Club 716 shared a behind the scenes of the hat-making process, and it really gives you a different perspective.

If you’re planning to snag one of these hats before the Dyngus Day parade, you should not worry too much about being caught in some crossfire of the squirt guns.

Even if they get wet due to the squirt guns at the parade the Hats will dry quickly!” the Water Buffalo Club 716 wrote on Facebook.

Some people are planning to wear these hats for the upcoming Buffalo Bills season, too!

A portion of the proceeds will go towards the Buffalo Zoo / Bison’s exhibit at the zoo in the name of the Water Buffalo Club 716.
