Eric Church paid homage to Snoop Dogg with a cover of the rapper's classic hit, "Gin and Juice" during a stop in Cincinnati Saturday (Feb. 23) on his Double Down Tour.

"I mentioned earlier the era I grew up in, and this next part was a big part of that era," Church prefaced before turning the famed rap song into an acoustic number. It surprisingly sounds quite good as a country jam; watch the performance above!

The song tells the story of what happens when the rapper throws a party at his house while his mom is away, name-dropping famous gin brands Seagram's and Tanqueray. The crowd was familiar with the lyrics, singing,  "Everything is fine when you listenin' to the D-O-G / I got the cultivating music that be captivating he / who listens, to the words that I speak."

Church intertwined the rap track with "Mistress Named Music," featured on his CMA award-winning album Mr. Misunderstood.

"Gin and Juice" was released in 1994 as the second single off Snoop Dogg's debut album, claiming the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart and reaching the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The eclectic singer has made cover songs an important part of his live show, recreating a diverse range of his favorites including the Beatles' "Come Together," Pearl Jam's "Better Man" and "Lose Yourself" by Eminem. The six-month tour sees Church taking over arenas across the country for two nights, each show featuring a different setlist from the others.
