Fatal Train Accident In Westfield Thursday Afternoon

There is some tragic news out of Chautauqua County this morning after officials say a woman was struck and killed by a train.

According to reports,

One person died after getting struck by a train Thursday afternoon in the Village of Westfield. The incident was first reported at approximately 3:15 PM on the CSX tracks in the area of North Gale Street.

This news comes out a day after there was a fatal plane crash east of the area in Great Valley. Officials there say that a plane crash near the airport and killed one of the two people on board. The impact killed 80-year-old William Mandelare and left 72-year-old Raymond Groetsch in critical condition. Since both men have pilot's licenses, officials aren't sure yet who was flying the plane when it went down.
