Father Leaves Infant Alone Outside While Shoplifting From West Seneca Rite Aid
This story is unbelievable but unfortunately, this happened on Thursday night in West Seneca.
According to WIVB, a father left his one-year-old song unattended in a stroller at a bus stop in West Seneca while allegedly stealing from a Rite Aid on Seneca Street near Union Road on Thursday evening.
Not only that but when officers arrived at the scene to find the one-year-old and 30-year-old Kyle McEvoy exiting the Rite Aid, they also found he had stolen items from a vehicle parked at Southgate Plaza, which was nearby.
West Seneca Police took him into custody after McEvoy resisted arrest.
He was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, resisting arrest, and two counts of criminal possession of stolen property, according to West Seneca Police.
He's due back in court on a later date after being released on an appearance ticket.
This is mind-boggling that anyone would do this. It's bad enough to steal from multiple sources like that but leaving a child that young, alone, near two extremely busy roads, is the worst part of this.
