Here in Buffalo, we’ve seen big brands like Bed Bath & Beyond and Christmas Tree Shop close their local stores, and when the news broke about the recent troubles of Rite Aid, we feared that the retail and drugstore chain could also disappear from the area.

Rite Aid has gone through some tough times lately. The popular drugstore chain recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, and recently announced they will be closing and selling several of their locations across the US.

Buffalo has 15 Rite Aid locations within 50 miles, and when the news was announced, local residents wondered if their neighborhood Rite Aid store would make the cut.
