As we head to the midway point of October, the gas prices are coming down as fast as the leaves from the trees and it could not come at a better time. For those who need a truck for their business, like landscaping and plowing snow, this is a great trend.

One of the biggest snowstorms that we have ever seen in the Buffalo area happened in October. The "October Surprise Storm" took place nearly 20 years ago and was one of the toughest storms for people to manage in the Buffalo area. The good news is that we are not expecting any snow for the foreseeable forecast. However, we all know that we are getting closer to that time of the year when the lakes start to dump FEET of snow on us.

As we cruise through the fall, those of us who own pickups are enjoying the price drop.

At the start of this week, the current price of gas, on average, in Western New York right now is $3.20. That is down a penny in the past week and is also five cents less than one month ago. The national average is $3.08. If you have a diesel pickup, the average cost for a gallon for you in New York is $3.87.

There are some places that typically get slammed more per gallon than others in New York State.

While the future of the HD pickup trucks seems to be in jeopardy here in New York State, driving one these days is not as expensive as some might think.
