Wow. George Strait is teasing something, and it seems like it could be absolutely huge. Is the George Strait Country Music Festival making a comeback? It seems like it could be true after George posted on his social media account on Tuesday night.

We are in the middle of "tour announcement season," where artists tend to announce their tour plans for the following week. It usually happens in the Fall and Winter, right before the Christmas presents get bought, of course. But, it also gives fans a chance to plan especially for these bigger stadium shows, where artists might not travel as much--they'll do BIGGER shows in stadiums and just not as many of them.

Luke Combs just announced his tour, where he will play 16 concerts next year, and they will be spread out over eight countries. Morgan Wallen teased that he is going to announce his tour plans and tour dates for 2026, and on the same day, so did the King of Country Music, George Strait.

Strait posted this throwback poster of his wildly popular George Strait Country Music Festival that he did for a few years in the late 90s and even into the early 2000s--the lineup was INSANE. On the tour poster is

  • Tim McGraw
  • Dixie Chicks
  • Asleep at the Wheel
  • Kenny Chesney
  • JoDee Messina
  • Mark Wills

Now, of course, this lineup is never going to happen again--it is just too insane now. Back in 1998, Chesney only had a few songs out, and the Dixie Chicks were the biggest country band in America besides Alabama. But, MAYBE the Tim McGraw opener might stick. There is a reason he chose THIS poster. Unless it is a completely new lineup, but we will see. Will there be a Highmark Stadium George Strait concert? Will there be a

MetLife Stadium George Strait date? Hopefully, we find out soon.
