These Are The Most “Buffalo” Halloween Decorations We’ve Ever Seen
If you had to designate an official bird of Buffalo, New York, it would be the pink flamingo.
Not necessarily real pink flamingos that you would find in the wild, though. Buffalonians have had a love affair with their plastic pink flamingo lawn ornaments for years.
Once a front yard staple of Cheektowaga, admiration of these tacky but loveable lawn ornaments spread throughout Western New York. We’ve turned them into paddle boats to peddle on Hoyt Lake, and we paint them on our murals. We even came out to line up thousands of them in Delaware Park, breaking a Guinness World Record.
This past Halloween, those beloved plastic flamingos were spotted on several front lawns throughout Western New York sporting their very own costume.
These spooky skeleton flamingos are the perfect addition to any Buffalo-area Halloween display. It makes perfect sense that our beloved plastic pink flamingos got a Halloween makeover. After all, Buffalo is considered by many to be America’s pink flamingo capital.
If your home’s decorations were missing their own skeleton flamingos this year, you have plenty of time to grab a pair from Amazon in time to display them for Halloween 2023.
In the meantime, don’t forget that Christmas is right around the corner - and these Santa flamingos with their reindeer would be a perfect addition to any Western New York snowbank.
