Harry Potter Fans Will Love These Summer Events In New York
If you've got a Harry Potter fan in your house, there are tons of events coming up this summer that they will love all across New York State...here are just a few!
There is a long list of incredible events for Harry Potter fans in Buffalo this summer. In the past you may have seen the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra when they performed the score to the Harry Potter movie, "The Sorcerer's Stone" when it came through Shea's a few years ago. If you loved that, you might want to get signed up for these.
1. "Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban" with the Buffalo Philharmonic at Artpark (Lewiston, NY)
The entire movie will be played outdoors on a 40-foot high-definition screen at the theater at Art Park. Oh...and while the movie is playing, the live orchestra will be playing the score.
Just imagine the movie that you know and love with the backdrop of the Niagara Gorge behind it while the score is played live. The show will take place Saturday July 9th at 8pm. Tickets are on sale right now at the Artpark Box Office or Ticketmaster.
2. Harry Potter Summer Camp (East Amherst and North Tonawanda, NY)
Your kids will be able to explore the wizarding world by creating spells, making Polyjuice Potion Slime Art, making their own wand, and more. They will even have a sorting hat. The East Amherst week will happen starting July 11th. The North Tonawanda week will begin July 18th.
3. Harry Potter Trivia Night at White Stone Cafe (Ghent, NY)
Think you know everything there is about the wizarding world? Here's your chance to prove if you're a wizard or a muggle! It starts at 6pm, so probably best if you get to Platform 9 3/4 early.
4. Happy Birthday Harry Fun Runs (Syracuse, NY)
This one says it's in Syracuse, but you can participate from anywhere. It's a fun run that can be completed anytime from July-August of 2022. Did you know that the boy who lived celebrates his birthday on July 31st? If you want to celebrate and also help out The Global Orphan Project, get signed up to run a 1 mile, 5k, 10k, 13.1, or 26.2 virtual races. You choose the distance, you choose the day. You'll even get a beautiful race medal to remember your magical run.
