Due to COVID-19, many non-profits in Western New York didn't have a chance to hold their usual fundraisers in 2020 and so far in 2021.

Of course, that doesn't mean they still don't need that money to carry out their commitment to helping out the community.

Many non-profits have found other virtual ways to help raise money, and that includes the Angola Volunteer Fire Department, which is hosting an online raffle this month to help raise funds for the department.

Their mission statement on their website says it all.

To provide the best life saving services, be it Fire, EMS, Rescue or fire prevention to our community of the Village of Angola, our service area outside the Village in the Town of Evans, and wherever we may be called for assistance. As our motto says, Anywhere, Any place, Any TIME!

They are made up of 100% of volunteers who operate 2 engines and 1 ladder truck. A rescue EMS ambulance, ATV unit, and Child passenger safety unit.

They are lead by Fire Chief Charles Klepfer and have 46 volunteer firefighters and 38 non-firefighting volunteers.
