Human Remains Found in North Collins Woods

Deputies from The Erie County Sheriffs Department were busy over this past weekend with an investigation in to remains that were found in North Collins.

Hikers were in the woods near Marion J. Fricano Town Park and discovered clothing and human remains. As of Monday morning, anthropologists had been called in to study the remains in hopes of determining the identity and cause of death.

The Erie County Marine unit was also hard at work to rescue a trio of kayakers.
