Is This The Safest Gun Ever? [VIDEO]

An 18 year old kid started up a science project years ago to create the world's safest gun.  His name is Kai Kloepfer and he thinks he may have done it.

The gun is designed to essentially have a safety that will only disengage with a fingerprint.  So for instance, if a gun is stolen or if a police officer is disarmed, the gun will not function without the gun owner's fingerprint.

But what about people like police officers and soldiers who wear gloves?  What if your hands are dirty?  What if the sensor battery dies and the gun won't fire when you need it most?

Do you think this might be the world's safest gun?  Or are there still too many unanswered questions about it?
