It's creeping up on us quickly, the Italian Heritage and Food Festival is set for Thursday, July 12 through Sunday, July 15th at the Outer Harbor Buffalo, 225 Fuhrmann Boulevard.  This particular event will highlight products from area favorites and feature entertainment like the Idol contest, cultural demonstrations, crafts, kids activities, Miss Italian Festival, grape stomping contests and Sicilian puppet shows and more!  This is one of my favorite festivals in Buffalo, so much food and we're talking really, really delicious choices.

This will mark the second year of the festival in it's new location at the outer harbor after several years on Hertel.

"We outgrew our space on Hertel Avenue," Marco Sciortino, spokesperson for the Italian Festival, explained. "By putting it at the outer harbor we're able to do a lot more items. Last year we had a car show. We had a motorcycle show. We had the biggest crowd ever for Sal Valentinetti on Saturday night last year with well over 15,000 people."

WKBW Channel 7 shares the changes coming to the festival this year.
