Kelly will be honored at the Legends of Charity Dinner with The Pat Summerall Award.

The award is giving out to honor a national broadcaster or prominent sports personality who exemplified the characteristics Pat Summerall wanted the award to represent – an individual who has had an outstanding career and who has made a significant impact in their community.

The money raised from the charity luncheon will be donated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Kelly will become the 15th person to win the award.

Kelly spoke about being the recipient of the award :
"I am looking forward to being in Miami for the Legends for Charity Event and I am humbled to be the 2020 honoree of the Pat Summerall Award. Pat was an inspiration and it means a great deal to be given an award in his name," said Jim Kelly. "I know how much he loved this event and even more importantly, how he loved to help save lives working with St. Jude. My motto is; make a difference today for someone who is fighting for their tomorrow. I will continue to honor Pat's legacy by trying my best to be a difference maker every day."
