“Buffalo Joe” Captivates Western New York
No offense, but sit down, Josh Allen… we’re all about our local pride and joy, Joe Andreessen.
The 6’1” Lancaster High grad was the guy to talk about after the Bills’ Saturday night 9-3 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Would it have been fun to see the Bills score a touchdown? Sure. But thanks to Andreesen, we have plenty to be excited about this preseason.
The former University at Buffalo linebacker had 12 tackles on Saturday night, and he looked like he belonged to be out there. It's especially prolific, considering it's the dream of every boy in Western New York who grew up loving the Buffalo Bills to just step onto the field in a Bills uniform.
And then, to do what he did?
That's OUR boy.
During the game, Bills QB Josh Allen, who didn't play due to the slick turf conditions from the pregame weather, called Andreessen “Buffalo Joe” while gushing about him during a sideline interview.
Here’s hoping the nickname sticks, because we LOVE it.
Please-- Brandon Beane, Sean McDermott, and the powers that be at the Buffalo Bills-- we’d love for our local boy to make the squad so we can root for him every week.
Go Bills.
