Popular Beer Company Coming to Lancaster, New York Village
The Lancaster Village is going from 0 to 100 really fast.
It needed help. It needed SOMETHING and over the past 4 years, the Village of Lancaster is really turning into a destination.
Earlier this week, Fattey Beer Co hashtagged all of its locations and when we noticed that there was a #Lancaster we had to dive in to figure out what was going on. After all, this could be a game changer in the village. Last night in the Village of Lancaster there was a public hearing at the Council Chambers in the Lancaster Municipal Building to consider an application by Fattey Beer Company.
When I inquired about where a new location would potentially be, workers from another Fattey store mentioned the old toy store in Lancaster on Central Ave. Does anyone remember all of the drama that went down with the Toy Store and Lancaster Coffee Co? Yeah, some of those plans got scrapped, but the Toy Store is, in fact, completely moved out right now.
Lancaster was given $4.5 million from New York State to revitalize the Village and they have really done a good job so far. There are roundabouts, new landscaping, a brand new high-rise-mixed-use building that has attracted a new wine bar, a bakery and more.
Fattey Beer Co started in 2017 and has really been taking Western New York by storm. The concept is genius. It's so simple. They have fridges of self-help beers and taps, but it is really the atmosphere that sets them apart. They are community-focused, fun and it's just a vibe at Fattey. There are currently 8 locations. Buffalo, Hamburg, Orchard Park, Ellicottville, Wurlitzer, Kenmore, Rochester, and one in Ohio.
