Lockport’s James MacFarlane Is This Week’s Hometown Hero

It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is originally from Lockport, NY.  It’s United States Navy E3 James MacFarlane!

James joined the Navy after completing college. According to his nomination, he felt as though it was his duty to go serve after losing his older brother, Army Specialist Albert Jex in 2009. His father, uncle and grandfather also served in the Navy, so you could say it’s a bit of a family tradition. James is described as a person who loves to be out with friends and family having a good time. He loves driving his truck through the mud and going out shooting. James has also been the type to put everyone else before himself. And he would never hesitate to give the shirt off his back for someone in need.!

This week, we are honored to name James MacFarlane our Hometown Hero of the week!
