Update on the Brand New NY Beer Project Location in Orchard Park
It feels like we have a new brewery, taproom or microbrewery opening in Western New York every year; maybe even ever six months or so.
Over the past decade, the brewery scene has exploded in the Buffalo region. These are a few dozen scattered throughout Buffalo and the surrounding suburbs, which also extends to the southern tier and near Rochester.
Not that anyone is complaining. It's great to see this all happening. Many of these places also have tremendous food, such as Big Ditch Brewing, Resurgence, 12 Gates and Southern Tier Brewing.
Another super popular establishment is New York Beer Project, which currently has one location open in Western New York (Lockport).
For those who live in Buffalo or the south towns, it's a bit of a haul to drive up to that location on South Transit Road, but thankfully, there's a much closer location that should be opening soon.
The new New York Beer Project location in Orchard Park is getting closer to opening, as the building itself is taking shape and they have the roof on!
This location will be called the NYBP Beer Lodge, and it's even bigger than the one in Lockport. You probably have seen the building taking shape as you drive down the I-219 in Orchard Park.
The hope is this location will be ready to open by the summer of 2024. New York Beer Project has tons of beers and hard seltzers to choose from, plus a big food menu.
The location is perfect too. It's on Winward Road in the Sterling Park Plaza, right off of Milestrip. This location is key because it's near the Quaker Crossing Plaza, plus it's in close proximity to Highmark Stadium, which means another place for people to enjoy food and drinks before or after Bills games.
People have been clamoring for a NYBP location in Buffalo or the south towns and we're almost there.
