For those who believe people act strange when there is a full moon, this is going to be an interesting week to be in New York State.

The days have been very hot lately. However, the earlier sunset and cooler mornings are reminders that the fall is quickly approaching. But before the summer ends, there is a spectacular event that is about to happen over the The Empire State.

This Tuesday, we will witness a full moon-with a twist.

While we are watching the moon rise this week, it will be a full super moon that also will feature a partial eclipse.

NASA posted on "X", formerly Twitter, that: "Fall officially begins later this month, and the sky has something SUPER in store to welcome it. On Sept. 17, you have the chance to see a full supermoon AND a partial lunar eclipse"!

There appears to be something to the fact that people act differently when there is a full moon. As the father of four young children, I believe that the kids become a little more rambunctious when there is a full moon. However, since they are back in school, this is going to be a great time to teach them about the moon.
