It was a fuel-mileage race that a number of drivers gambled on and lost including Joey Logano, who led 97 of 160 laps but finished 12th when he ran out gas with three laps to go.  Kyle Busch inherited the lead, but instead of winning his fourth straight race he ran out of gas too and didn't even make it back to the finish line.  The gas tank of Martin Truex, Jr. went dry too.

In the end it was Matt Kenseth who led just two laps including the final one and won his first career race at Pocono Raceway while at the same time ending teammate Kyle Busch's three-race winning streak.  Kenseth's second victory of 2015 also clinches a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship.

Brad Keselowski finished second while Jeff Gordon equaled a season-best coming in third.  Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and Greg Biffle completed the Top 5.

Kyle Busch, who came one lap short of winning the race, came in 21st and now stands 32nd in the standings, 13 points out of 30th place.  If he had won he would have moved up to 29th.  Even with four victories this season he needs to finish 30th or better to claim a spot in the Chase.

Five more race left before the Chase begins.  Next Sunday the racing world focuses on the road course at Watkins Glen in Central New York.
