Sad News: Famous Buffalo Restaurant Closing a Location
We're heading into the time of the year that people love to venture out on a weekend night and hunker down to watch sports and enjoy great food.
The colder temperatures and arrival of football just screams comfort food. Lucky for us, we have a wide range of places to go to for comfort-type food in Western New York. You add some TV's to the equation and you get very busy places.
However, these past two or three years have been extremely hard on restaurants and bars in the Buffalo area. We have seen far too many places close for good and unfortunately, we have another restaurant location which has decided to close its doors for good.
According to their Facebook post, Mooney's Bar & Grill location on Union Road in West Seneca will be closing its doors, permanently.
They had been there for eight years.
Mooney's has several other locations around Western New York. Those locations include Kenmore, Tonawanda, Depew and Lancaster. They also have a few locations outside of Western New York but still in New York State.
Mooney's specializes in their famous mac & cheese dishes. You can get a regular side size or a large size, with different varieties. They also have a large menu with appetizers, sandwiches, subs, pizza and drinks on draft.
This Mooney's location was right off the I-400. It's the former Tony Rome's location and is an iconic portion of West Seneca. This news is awful and now we wait to see what happens to the building on Union Road.
