The winter is a perfect time to watch for wildlife and New York State has an abundance of beautiful animals to see!

The snow has made for some amazing winter themed photography and in some cases, a good trail camera can get the perfect shot!

We were sent a photo of a gorgeous red fox that was caught trotting by on a trail camera at a family camp in Western New York State.

The abundant wildlife in New York State has been on display in full force this winter! From squirrels, to deer and everything in the air, it is fun to grab your camera or phone and start to snap some pictures.

Here is a photo of a red fox that was making the rounds after a recent snowfall in the woods south of Buffalo, New York. It is possible that this fox was on the hunt for some lunch. Perhaps it was a reed squirrel, chipmunk, rabbit or mouse?

If you have a good trail camera, it can even send photos via cell tower to your phone! It is a great way to keep an eye on the property that you have and the wildlife that is passing through!

As we countdown the remaining days until spring, animals like red fox are getting closer to having their litters! It won't be long until we might get a few good photos of the babies wandering behind mom!
