Nashville Notes – Kane Brown’s Special VIPs

It’s pretty typical for artists to do meet-and-greets when they’re out on tour, and those are usually part of a VIP package. Kane Brown gave kids from the Boys and Girls Clubs of America the VIP treatment -- having them hang out before the show, joining him on stage, and doing meet-and-greets after the show.

We told you Tim McGraw was playing a free concert at the NFL Draft in Nashville next month, but he’ll be joined by more than 20 different artists over three days, beginning on April 25. Dierks Bentley and Charlie Worsham were added to the list of performers.

Luke Bryan is known for his tight jeans, and being a country music artist, but mostly his tight jeans to the delight of all viewers of American Idol, and Idol judge Katy Perry. She forced Luke to admit his favorite fashion secret -- he tapes his jeans to his boots. Why? It’s because, "it keeps your jeans from flaring out. Can't deal with the flare. Can't deal with them creeping up on me."

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s marriage plans are on hold for now -- but not for any typically scandalous gossipy reason. There’s a few reasons actually, one is that Gwen is very religious, and wants to be married in the Catholic church -- in order to do that she has to have her previous marriage to Gavin Rossdale annulled first, and that can be a lengthy process. Also, the couple has geographically challenging work schedules at the moment, Blake lives between Oklahoma and Los Angeles, and Gwen lives in Los Angeles full time with her three kids.

And on this day in country music history, Billy Ray Cyrus’s debut album Some Gave All hit #1 on the US Country Album Charts. Fueled by the massive success of “Achy Breaky Heart,” the album spent 17 weeks at #1 -- the longest time spent at the top by a debut artist.
