Heartbreak has always been a part of country music. In Texas, it's common to have a country song feature heartbreak on many levels. One native Texas singer-songwriter made an impact on the country charts in 2010-2011.

Sunny Sweeney released her major label debut single, "From a Table Away" in June of 2010. The song would peak at #10 on both the Mediabase and Billboard country airplay charts in March of 2011.

Written by Sweeney, Karyn Rochelle and Bob DiPiero, it would serve as the lead single for Sunny's Concrete album, which would be released in August of 2011.

Sunny would only chart two more singles that failed to reach the top 30 at radio ("Staying's Worse Than Leaving", "Drink Myself Single") and she left her label, Republic Nashville/Big Machine Label Group in 2012.

Sweeney independently released an album before "From a Table Away" in 2007 and after her major label days, would release two more albums independently. She'll actually be in Buffalo on Wednesday night, opening for country artist Cody Jinks at the Town Ballroom!

"From a Table Away" has such a haunting feel about it. I love the melody and the way Sunny sings the heartbreaking lyrics.
