There have been quite a few family acts over the years in country music, such as Brothers Osborne who are currently getting hits at country radio; consisting of John and T.J. Osborne.

One family band had a hit at country radio back in 2013, that you may have forgotten.

The Henningsens are a family trio that originated in Illinois over a decade ago. Brian Henningsen with son Aaron and daughter Clara.

They signed with Arista Nashville and released their debut single, "American Beautiful" to country radio in December of 2012. It would go on to peak at #14 on the Mediabase country chart in June of 2013.

Written by The Henningsens with Brett Beavers, the song was off their self-titled EP. Unfortunately, they would only chart one more single titled "Miss You", which failed to reach the top 30. They would leave their label shortly after.

The Henningsens would go on to write Billy Currington's single, "Drinkin' Town with a Football Problem" in 2015.

Nothing sounded like "American Beautiful" when it was released. The melody and music pull you in immediately. It also teaches you to be the way you are and let's face it, we're all unusual in our own way...but that's what sets us all apart.
