Do you remember the talent competition, Can You Duet? It ran from 2008-2009 on CMT. The winners of season two were Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones, known as Steel Magnolia.

Linsey and Jones were boyfriend/girlfriend at the time and after winning the show's second season, they signed with Big Machine Records.

Their debut single, "Keep On Lovin' You" was released in September of 2009. It peaked at number four on both the Mediabase and Billboard country airplay charts in May of 2010.

The song was written by current country music superstar Chris Stapleton, along with former charting country artist Trent Willmon. The song was off their self-titled debut album, which was released in 2011.

Despite a top-five chart peak for "Keep On Lovin' You", the other singles off the album failed to make the top 20. Steel Magnolia would leave their label in 2012 and split to pursue colo careers by 2013.

Linsey would then finish runner-up during season eight of The Voice. She's recently turned to pop music.

"Keep On Lovin' You"really showcased their strong voices and a logical choice for a debut single. It's pretty cool that Linsey ended up doing so well on The Voice, five years after "Keep On Lovin' You" was a hit at country radio.
