How dare they! Rule #1: Thou shall not stop man from making his own beer.

I wish they would make that a law. Alabama is the only state in the United States to ban the home brewing of beer. Why, exactly?

"I think we've got enough folks walking around drunk," says Rep. Berry Forte, D-Eufaula. "I don't understand why this body, year after year, wants to promote alcohol on the people of Alabama".

Helloooo?! It's 2013. There's a reason the other 49 states allow the home brewing of beer.

Home brewing (of any kind beer or wine) enthusiasts have been trying for years without success to get the bill through the Alabama Legislature. The bill, a few years ago, won the House's "Shroud Award" for the deadest bill of the legislative session, according to Alabama.com.

Good thing I don't live in Alabama. I have about 50 bottles of wine that I make every year called Dusty Dragone.

This year, Dusty Dragone won't be making it to Buffalo on Tap. But, you are NOT GOING TO WANT TO MISS THIS EVENT. It is going to be a complete riot. Over 100 microbrews from around the world will be downtown at the Convention Center on Saturday, April 20. Bring your buddies, and I will see you there!
