Books are a tricky investment.  Even if you borrow them from the library for free, the investment is in the time you spend with them.  Unless you're a super fast reader, books can take a person hours, days, or months (if you're like me and don't have a ton of time to read) to get through.  They aren't like a movie where if you commit to it, you're only wasting an hour and a half or two hours of your life.  If you get all the way to the end of a book and it's horrible, you've just wasted a bunch of your life that you'll never get back.

So where do you go for suggestions?  You can normally count on your friends to give you advice on a good book, or...you can trust the 400,000 library cardholders from the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library.  They conducted online and onsite voting to determine the most popular materials borrowed in 2022.
