Today (February 17th) is Random Acts of Kindness Day. It's a day to reach deep and help your fellow man in any way that you can--and that doesn't mean just donating money. It could be something like paying for the coffee of the driver behind you in line at Tim Horton's, giving someone a ride who might really need it, or even just telling a coworker you appreciate them.

Our good friends at Market In The Square made a huge impact at FeedMore WNY today, and I was fortunate enough to help them out. They brought over a van FULL of food--over 1,700 lbs--to donate straight to the families in WNY who need it most.

I helped unload a little bit after we got a tour and some information about FeedMore WNY. A lot of people remember to donate food or money to food sources during the holidays--it is the giving season, after all. Unfortunately that can sometimes lead to a shortage when there ISN'T a special food donation event going on, and right now we are in the middle of one of those critical seasons for FeedMore WNY.

That's why Market In The Square's donation means so much, and it's why anything you can do today or in the coming weeks is so important. If you're fortunate enough to not have to worry about where your next meal is coming from, consider helping out the good people at FeedMore WNY.
