There is a pretty rare deer that has been spotted a few times in Cheektowaga, New York over the weekend.

I have lived in Western New York and have never seen anything like this while living here. I have seen the white albino deer from time to time, but nothing like this. It is called the Piebald deer and it is white with brown spots, even possibly some dark spots. The same one must be running around Cheektowaga neighborhoods because there have been so many spottings of this exact deer posted on social media since Saturday morning!

Piebald deer can have varying amounts of white hair. Some piebald deer can be almost pure white except small patches of regular brown hair, while others carry just patches of white hair with otherwise normal markings. Otherwise, an albino or piebald white-tailed deer will have the normal characteristics of other white-tailed deer", according to Mossy Oak.

According to some reports, a piebald deer is more rare than an albino deer and an albino deer usually is only one in 30,000 deer.

The deer was spotted over by Borden Road in Cheektowaga. Have you ever seen a piebald deer like this?
