Rare Weather Event Happening This Weekend In Western New York
This weekend, something will happen in Western New York that hasn’t happened in a long, long time.

Cloudy, rainy, windy. That pretty much sums up what the forecast in Western New York has said every single day for weeks. Gray skies, cold temperatures, and wet weather can not only put those of us in the Buffalo area in a crummy mood; it also puts a damper on our outdoor plans - especially when the gross weather hits us on the weekend.
Finally, though - it looks like Mother Nature is throwing us a bone! Meteorologists are calling for a sunny Saturday afternoon. It will still be pretty chilly outside, with windchills making it feel like it’s 20+ degrees, but the sun will be shining and hopefully putting us in a better mood.
But wait…there’s more - on Sunday, it will warm up to the 40s, and the day will be filled with bright sunshine.
Can you believe it? One sunny day is enough to put all of us in a better mood and get outside, but two of them? In a row? That’s almost unheard of lately.
Weekend Weather Will Be The Best Western New York Has Seen In Months
In fact, it’s been quite a while since Western New York has seen two sunny days back-to-back in its forecast. Believe it or not, we haven’t had two sunshine-filled days in a row since November 9th and 10th of last year.
You read that right. Saturday and Sunday will be the best Buffalo weather days we’ve had in three months.
We’re so pumped that Western New York is finally getting a reprieve from the clouds this weekend and getting to soak up some sunshine - even if it’s only for a couple of days. Make sure you open up those window shades or go outside to soak it up.
