The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has released a map that you can check out to see the flight and migration path of the Monarch butterfly!

MonarchWatch.org listed the peak dates by latitude of when you will see the most Monarchs as they head south before the cold and snow start to fly behind them.

In the Buffalo area, we are just about latitude 43 and according to the chart, our peak Monarch "flyover" will be September 3-15th.

We recently purchased a piece of property and it seems to have a great deal of these beautiful winged creatures. Just taking a ride on our side by side through the field you can see them popping up in front of you by the dozens. Monarchs are like cows in a field. When you see them you can't help but point them out!
