It looks like Stefon Diggs is taking a page out of one popular poet and civil rights activist’s way of life. 

You may remember the name Maya Angelou. She was a world-famous author, known for her work as a civil rights activist, a poet, and an autobiographer. Angelou was so inspiring, and she is still so inspiring to others, as her words forever live on. 

Maya Angelou used both the beauty of her words and the call to action within them to ignite a fire within hearts across the world. She was a symbol of resilience in the face of discrimination, as she persevered through more than most of us can even imagine and was always an advocate for social and racial justice.  

Many will tell you that Angelou's greatest legacy of all is her first autobiography, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, but as you may have guessed, she was known for much more than that. 

One of Maya Angelou’s famous quotes seemed to have an effect on Stefon Diggs this week. 

I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”

Stefon Diggs seems to agree, after tweeting a similar statement over the weekend. 

“One thing people never forget.. is how you treat them !”

Wise words from Diggs, and maybe that’s one of the biggest reasons why we always see him go out of his way for the Bills Mafia. 

I mean, how many times have you seen Diggs take the time out of his pregame warmup to throw the football with a little member of the Mafia?
